The Ontria
Story
The stories of how frustration, caffeine, and
five brothers built something that actually
works. Welcome to Ontria.
How it all started...
Ontria started the same way many Nigerian tech ideas start: with frustration, caffeine, and the dangerous sentence, "How hard can it be?" It didn't start with a business plan. It started with irritation.
Across different industries, we kept seeing the same pattern - files stacked in cabinets, approvals handled manually, records scattered across paper, spreadsheets, and chat messages. Important information was hard to find, processes were slow, and growth felt more stressful than it needed to be. Yet, when technology solutions were introduced, they often created new problems instead of solving existing ones. (Yes, even that "software wey that guy wey sabi IT recommend" didn't help.)
Then I assembled the greatest tech team known to man. The League of Prestigious Gentlemen as we like to call ourselves, the best set of minds I know, four brothers of mine; I called them one after the other, unsure of how each conversation would go, but clear about the vision and from there it was bliss.
Mosope said, "When do we start?" Joshua said, "Say less, I'm ready." Tishe challenged the vision, made me explain harder, then said, "This can work. And if we do it, we do it properly. I'm down." Shemaiah didn't even need an explanation, "Whatever it is, count me in."
And just like that, we formed Ontria. (No cape required... yet.)
I'm not going to pretend like it was all soft. We've had sleepless nights, programming dilemmas, and moments where nothing made sense. Servers crashed. Code broke. Patience was tested. We learned very early that software doesn't care about your feelings. Turns out "we'll fix it later" is not a scalable business strategy.
Every solution demanded more than skill; it demanded patience, precision, and the kind of stubbornness only a team that trusts each other can sustain, and that reason alone is why I thank God we had been together for years and slowly, piece by piece, the chaos became structure, the problems became solutions, and the long nights became proof of what we could achieve together.
By the time the sun rose on our first major milestone, it wasn't just a product anymore. It was Ontria, precise, resilient, and built by men who don't compromise, who don't quit, and who trust each other to see the impossible through.
Ontria was built on the idea that every business is different. Their workflows, constraints, and goals are unique, and their software should reflect that. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, we focus on understanding how a business operates first, then designing systems that fit seamlessly into their existing processes.
Today, Ontria works with businesses seeking practical digital transformation from workflow automation and digital record management to custom systems that improve visibility and decision-making. Our focus remains the same as it was at the beginning: building solutions that are useful, sustainable, and aligned with how people actually work.
This is just the beginning of our journey. As we grow, our commitment stays unchanged to help businesses operate on systems, not stress, and to make digital transformation simpler, smarter, and more human.
Welcome to Ontria.
